Kate Bush – Age 62
Kate Bush dominated the British singles charts with Wuthering Heights in 1978 at just the age of 19. She also set the record as the first female musician to top the charts with a self-written song in the United Kingdom. Bush now has 25 songs that have charted in the UK Top 40.Decades later and her contributions to music remain unchanged. Credited for innovations in recording technology, she’s known for fusing radio microphones with wire coat hangers to create hands-free microphones for her 1979 tour. She was nominated to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall for 2021 but did not make the final cut.
