In 1955, Lee Ann  Meriwether won the Miss America title and she became The Today Show’s “Today Girl’ for one year. She made her full movie debut in 1959 in the independent film 4D Man. She’s best known for her role in the ‘70s series Barnaby Jones which earned her an Emmy and two Golden Globe nominations.Meriwether hasn’t quit the industry but she made her most recent features in 2018. She married Frank Aletter in 1958 and they had two daughters together before their divorce in 1974. She then remarried in 1986, walking down the aisle with her current husband Marshall Borden.
