Kate Bush – Born In 1958
Kate Bush dominated the UK Singles Charts with “Wuthering Heights” in 1978 when she was just 19 years old. She also set the record as the first female musician from the UK to top the charts with a self-written song. Several releases later, Bush has charted 25 songs in the Top 40.Decades later and her contributions to the field of music remain unchanged. She’s also credited for technical innovations like fusing microphones with clothes hangers to create self-made hands-free microphones for her 1979 “Tour of Life.” It allowed her to perform her expressionist dance choreography while singing comfortably.
