Kristy McNichol struck it big as a singer, comedian, and actress. She has credits in films like “Little Darlings” and “Only When I Laugh.” Her work on the small screen includes appearances in the sitcom “Empty Nest.” She received two Emmy Awards for her appearance in the ABC drama “Family.”During her performances in the ’70s special “The Carpenters” with her brother Jimmy, she belted out several musical numbers. Alongside her brother, she ventured into music, releasing the album “Kristy and Jimmy McNichol” under RCA Records. In 2001, she decided to quit acting and started teaching acting classes at a school in Los Angeles.
